I have lived in the Salt Lake City School District's 4th precinct for 15 years. My child has been enrolled in the Salt Lake City School District since kindergarten and is now a student at Bryant Middle School. As a parent, I have consistently participated in school improvement through School Community Councils.
I am also a conscientious and compassionate person with more than 23 years of professional experience increasing access to educational spaces. In addition to being a state-certified social worker pursuing clinical licensure, I'm a licensed professional educator currently serving as a School Social Worker at a public charter high school in the Granite School District.
As a parent, social worker, and educator, I am an ardent advocate for public funds going to public schools, ensuring they remain accessible community resources for every family. Public education is designed to build community, and investment in it maintains equitable access for every K-12 student. I am committed to working with and within the Salt Lake City public school system to maintain the integrity of public schooling as a vital community resource.
